Most lenders will require a wood destroying inspection report or WDO report which includes searching for active termite infestation or previous signs of infestation. The State requires these inspectors to be licensed and can even provide interested consumers with any complaint reports on inspection companies. Even if the mortgage lender does not require the inspection, we strongly encourage the buyer to obtain an inspection report for their own well being.
