Southeastern Idaho home sales are up 14% over last year accoring to numbers reported through May 2007.
The state’s population increased by 37,000 residents. A downside is the influx has driven housing prices up; the state plans to work on affordable housing plans, especially in fast growing areas like Coeur d’Alene.
Average sales price of residential homes during the first quarter of 2007 in Ada and Canyon counties increased at the more modest rates of 3.6 percent and 8.7 percent over year-earlier levels.
